SINGAPORE: The Reform Party (RP) team contesting in West Coast Group Representation Constituency (GRC) on Wednesday unveiled a five-year plan to better manage housing estates, keep the cost of living in check and build a stronger community. Party secretary-general Kenneth Jeyaretnam also pledged to move to the Telok Blangah area should his team get elected, so as to be more accessible to residents there. He currently lives off Newton Road. "The best decisions are made when they affect the decision-maker. If I live here and there's no bus, I am affected. Or if my wet market closes down, I'm not going to be happy," he said. Titled "Rejuvenate, Revitalise and Reintegrate", the plan includes the strategic re-location of markets and food centres to ensure access to all residents, reduction of season parking charges and the provision of more parking lots, after-school clubs for ...
