SINGAPORE - Even before Nomination Day, she had been pressing the Workers' Party (WP) to give a definition of a First-World Parliament. Now, Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC Indranee Rajah has figured out the WP's meaning. And she is further convinced there is no need for one, going by three criteria that WP candidate for Aljunied GRC Pritam Singh cited on Tuesday night, when he said Ms Indranee and Madam Halimah Yacob could be potential prime ministers. He had called them capable MPs and had said a first-class parliamentarian was one who raises issues concerning the well-being of ordinary, working-class Singaporeans and one who calls for explanation, dialogue and communication.
