UNLIKE my mother who had single-handedly prepared nearly everything I consumed until late into my teenage years, I find it hard to cook for my children on a daily basis. Almost instinctively, I've opted to echo the trend some celebrity chefs have been espousing. In the name of better business, these feted toques have mastered the art of delegation with remarkable award-winning success. So what if I had someone else cook up a desirable meal? I mean it's not like my kids have been excessively critical about the maid's cooking (that would be Daddy's job). Besides, cooks eat at other restaurants. And I'm pretty sure Armani doesn't sew his own clothes. Fine, so I'm no iconic designer to all of Milan's finest.
