What to do on Polling Day #SGelections

1. YOU should have received a poll card from the Elections Department. It tells you where your polling station is. 2. Go to your polling station. Polling stations open at 8am and close at 8pm. Bring your poll card along with your identity documents. No other forms of identification is acceptable except your National Registration Identity Card (NRIC), Singapore passport and identity cards issued by the Ministry of Defence, Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force. Photocopies will not be accepted. 3. Identify yourself to an election official and receive an official ballot paper. You may be asked to sign a declaration of identity before being given a ballot paper. You will then be directed to a booth. 4. Inside the booth, mark your choice clearly with an 'X' in the box on the right-hand side of the ballot paper, opposite the name and symbol of the candidate o...
