More than 80 per cent voted with 3 hours to go #SGelections
MOST Singaporeans proved to be early birds when it comes to polling, with more than 83 per cent of them or 1.85 million of voters having done their duty by 5pm. Already, almost half of the total number of voters had cast their votes in the first four hours of Polling Day, Saturday. Some 2.21 million Singaporeans are expected to have voted by the time the polls close at 8pm tonight. Then the countdown to a nail-biting finish begins as the tallying of votes takes place at counting centres around the island. The police have approved five locations for parties' candidates, supporters and the public on Saturday. People's Action Party supporters may meet at Bedok, Toa Payoh and Jurong West stadia, while Reform Party supporters may meet at Clementi Stadium. Hougang Stadium has been reserved for Workers' Party supporters.
