#Singapore launches cluster to help companies develop 3D printing capabilities - #3D #technology

SINGAPORE - A platform that will focus on adapting research in 3D printing technologies to applications for manufacturers in Singapore was launched on Tuesday (Sept 22). The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (Namic) was launched by Mr S Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Trade and Industry and Home Affairs. It will be lead by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), in partnership with the National University of Singapore, and Singapore University of Technology and Design. The cluster will partner multinational companies and local firms. "Namic will translate related upstream research in Singapore's public research entities and institutes of higher learning into downstream commercial applications, lowering the barriers for companies to incorporate additive manufacturing technologies into their core business" said Mr Isw...
