CNA | New tech-enabled toys for children in 160 preschools next year #sgnews

SINGAPORE: About 160 preschool centres will get a suite of technology-enabled toys in a S$1.5 million one-year pilot programme from January 2016. The PlayMaker programme, launched by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, will equip the preschools with technology-enabled toys. The schools will also receive tech support and training for educators to understand how to integrate the toys into the centres' existing curriculum. On Wednesday (Sep 23), with MP Grace Fu in attendance, Yuhua PAP Community Foundation (PCF) centre was the first of the 160 preschool centres to introduce the toys to its children, ahead of the full rollout of the pilot.
