Chumpol NaLamlieng will step down from his role as SingTel Chairman at its upcoming annual general meeting in July. -- ST FILE PHOTO SINGTEL chairman Chumpol NaLamlieng will be stepping down at its coming annual general meeting in July. Mr NaLamlieng, who has been SingTel's chairman since 2003, will be succeeded by Mr Simon Israel, currently a non-executive and non-independent director. Mr Israel, 68, is currently the president and an executive director of SingTel's majority shareholder Temasek Holdings, although he will relinquish those roles before taking over his SingTel appointment. Mr NaLamlieng, 64, said he had 'an enriching experience being part of the Group's transformation over the many years.
