Rumor Mill: Aljunied Town Council workers contract terminated, PAP not even waiting for proper transition.

I just heard from a friend of mine whom is residing within Aljunied constituency (Lorong Ah Soo). After the win for WP, a day after that all of the Town Council workers (cleaners/contractors etc) got their contract terminated citing that their contract was previously under PAP & since PAP lost the the GRC thus the outcome fro termination. From what I read the transition(PaP>WP) would only take place or perhaps conclude on the 14th May. So now the estates are left in quite a mess. Shouldn't the town councils wait till the transition is completed then leave it to the new party to decide if they want to keep the workers or not rather than just terminate their jobs. Is this a ploy to make the residents angry/unhappy again for voting the opposition. What do you think better still if there are any forumers here residing under Aljunied GRC? Cheers! from http://forums.vr-zone.com/...
