SINGAPORE: Customer satisfaction has reached an all time high in the retail sector, according to the latest Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG), released by the Institute of Service Excellence (ISES) at the Singapore Management University (SMU) on Wednesday. The index put together by the Singapore Management University (SMU) surveyed 8,621 people, which consisted of 5,874 residents and 1,403 tourists. The customer satisfaction score for the sector rose 3.5 per cent, or 2.4 points, to 70.6 points. This was the second consecutive yearly increase and reversed a downward trend in 2009. ISES said those in the motor-vehicle, jewellery, fashion apparel, furniture and super market business were able to better meet customers' expectations this year.
