Reading the debates, I gotta say I really miss those days of "Courtesy" campaigns...it is really sad to see how those saying that because they pay for the same fare or a fare so they are entitled to a seat without ANY considerations to others and those who could had given up their seats not doing so, only go to show how civil-minded and inconsiderate we have become....even citizens in 3rd world countries and those countries in ASEAN actually have better social behaviour than compared to us. (I know cause I had been there and had lived amongst them long enough)...so is this the fault of the government and/or the educational system? I think its more a social problem - generally people in Singapore are indirectly skilled to be selfish and inconsiderate by both the system and the social competition with doses of encouragement from family.
