Singapore brings back Stockholm Junior Water Prize

Mr Lee Poh Wah of the Lien Foundation had a dream that some day, a Singapore student team could bring back the prestigious Stockholm Junior Water Prize. This dream galvanised Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Lien Foundation and PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, to enter into a tripartite partnership to run the Singapore Junior Water Prize competition. And now, Mr Lee's dream has come true as three students from Anderson Junior College created history by winning the Stockholm Junior Water Prize on 29 Aug 2012. This is the first time that Singapore has won the international competition in Sweden since the annual Singapore Junior Water Prize competition began in 2008.
