Aljunied residents dismiss uncleared rubbish claims. #Singapore

Aljunied GRC residents have dismissed claims that have been made online that rubbish in the ward has been left uncleared in the days following the Workers' Party's General Election victory. The rumours surfaced after an Aljunied resident wrote a letter that was published on a blog as well as popular forum Hardware Zone that said rubbish bins in a neighbourhood in Bedok Reservoir had been removed and some estates are "in a mess". It also claims some Town Council workers had been fired. This even as the People's Action Party prepares to handover control and maintenance of the ward to the WP team led by Low Thia Kiang. While the letter writer chose to remain anonymous, the owner of the blog, Dharmendra Yadav, a lawyer, told Yahoo! Singapore the claims have been exaggerated.
