#Haze back in S'pore? #Jurong skyline almost disappears

Has the haze reached our shores, wonders STOMPer Suffocated . He was admiring the sea view from Jurong Hill but could hardly see anything. As of 4pm today, the PSI reading on the National Environment Agency website is 60. STOMP understands this is above the good air quality reading of 50 and below -- a reading of 51 to 100 indicates the level of the air pollutant is in the moderate range, but still within the USEPA 24-hr ambient air quality standard. The STOMPer wrote in his contribution (May 13): "These pictures were taken at noon, from the top of the lookout tower at Jurong Hill. "I was looking toward the sea when I saw the buildings and ships covered by a thick haze. "Has the smoke from Sumatra reached our shores? "Visibility was poor and I hope the rain will come soon to disperse the haze."
