SINGAPORE - Manchester United and England star Wayne Rooney graces television screens with his endorsement of Tiger Beer and, if Dentsu Sports Asia (DSA) get their way, Chelsea stars may soon make similar inroads into the Asian market. The sports marketing company based in Singapore recently announced a partnership with the English Premier League giants late last month to manage the image rights of the club's first team players - excluding skipper John Terry - and Dentsu will be looking to help partner them with local brands. And success may see Chelsea players make their way to Singapore. Said Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay: "We want to work with market leaders like Dentsu and their experience in South-east Asia, in particular, will be greatly beneficial for our players ahead of our pre-season tour in Malaysia and Thailand."
