SINGAPORE: The Returning Officer for the General Election, Mr Yam Ah Mee, has declared in a government gazette three opposition candidates as Non-Constituency Members of Parliament (NCMPs). They are Madam Loh Woon Lee Lina, who is known as Mrs Lina Chiam, from the Singapore People's Party and Mr Gerald Giam and Mr Yee Jenn Jong from the Workers' Party. Mrs Chiam contested in the Potong Pasir single member constituency and lost to the People's Action Party's Sitoh Yih Pin. Mr Gerald Giam was named by the Workers' Party from the five-member team which contested and lost in East Coast GRC while Mr Yee Jenn Jong contested and lost in the single member constituency of Joo Chiat.
