The Nintendo 3DS is a portable handheld game console with two screens - the top one shows stereoscopic 3D, and the bottom is a touchscreen. While the 3D effect did elicit a "wow" from me and many friends whom i showed it to, it didn't really add much in terms of gameplay in the two titles I got - Nintendogs + Cats and Super Street Fighter IV 3D edition. In the latter, the 3D effect only provided a more interesting, stereoscopic backdrop for the battles, while the former only boasted improved graphics. Another caveat is that you have to look at the top screen straight-on (viewing it at an angle yields double images) and at the optimal distance to see the stereoscopic effect properly. There's a 3D depth slider to adjust the stereoscopic intensity to a level that's most comfortable for your eyes. I set it at the maximum level and held the 3Ds at about 30cm away from my eyes -...
