Singapore's ex-national player and favourite footballing son - who opened his own academy at Tampines two months ago - announced a strategic partnership with Italian Serie B club Vicenza Calcio and the Genova International Soccer School (Giss) earlier on Wednesday. Under the collaboration, promising local footballers will have the opportunity to secure training stints in Italy, while scouts and coaches from the club will visit Singapore to scour for young talent.
