iFly Singapore officially opens
SINGAPORE: Singapore's first skydiving simulator, iFly, has officially opened after getting its Public Entertainment License as required by law. The S$25 million attraction on Sentosa island was supposed to open last year, but faced delays. Visitors can experience the skydiving thrill, indoors, starting from S$89 per adult. This entitles visitors to two 45-second sessions of suspension in thin air. Instructors are at hand to ensure the safety of all participants. Outgoing Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo was at the opening of the facility. He joked: "A few months ago they said 'Well, it's ready, would you like to try it, come down for a practise session.' So I thought, 'Okay, would make a nice picture for my election brochure.' But as it turned out, the facility was not ready in time, and that changed the outcome of the election."
