I hope political observers will give worthy analysis and comments on the new Cabinet line-up in the coming days and weeks. Loose and insensitive words during their watch of their respective ministries made by some Cabinet ministers have cost them dearly ending up being out of Cabinet and the drop of their million-dollar salary overnight to a MP salary of $16000 per month. It would have cost the PAP very dearly at the GE2011 if some GRCs of the dropped ministers from the new Cabinet had been contested by credible opposition candidates like the A-team fielded by WP in the Aljunied GRC. The PAP was lucky at the GE2011 that there were not so many A-teams and partly due to lack of strategic planning by the opposition to strike at the weakest links: the GRCs of the three ministers, who were dropped from the new Cabinet.
