Teo steps down as CEO of Business China - Straits Times #business

Mrs Teo will continue to serve on the board of Business China as one of its 15 directors. Mrs Josephine Teo stepped down as chief executive of Business China on Friday almost two years after her appointment in July 2009. But Mrs Teo, who was sworn in as Minister of State for Finance and Transport on Saturday, will continue to serve on the board as one of 15 directors. Business China was officially launched in November 2007 by its patron Lee Kuan Yew and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. The non-profit community organisation, which is based in Singapore, aims to provide a platform for cultural and economic exchanges between China and the world. During her leadership, Mrs Teo, 42, who is also a Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, created the FutureChina Global Forum.
