British band Keane not fond of "giant shed" at Singapore Expo's Max Pavilion

British indie band Keane have played on the Great Wall of China as well as frozen in Russia's St Petersburg, but the venue that seems to have fazed them was the The Max Pavilion@Singapore Expo on Sunday. "It's such a lovely city, such a pity we're playing in this giant shed," said lead singer Tom Chaplin, 33, to a cheering and stamping crowd. Later he praised the listeners for filling up "this weird old room with your warmth". The band last played here in 2009 at Fort Canning Park. Sunday's programme ranged from old favourites such as the bestselling 2004 single, Somewhere Only We Know, to the new track Disconnected, from their fourth and newest album, Strangeland, released earlier this year.
