Medical Tourism aside, if it was a zero option and having explored other avenues before finally deciding on seeking medical care here, while the Saudi Arabian Embassy have every right to be concerned for its citizens, they must understand that when the risk of high mortality rate exists, ultimately the decision rest with the parents. It is very sad to learn of the children's illness and eventual passing but if the doctors are professionally competent, one have to understand that whatever medical science and expertise that may be available, the surgeons cannot play God. Any potential fallout will be limited as long as Singapore remains committed in its policy of medical upgrade, accountability and transparency in its system which is the cornerstone of everything.
