THE Government will pay civil servants an extra half-month's salary plus $250 in July 2011. -- ST PHOTO: NEO XIAOBIN THE Government will pay civil servants an extra half-month's salary plus $250 in July 2011. A statement from the Public Service Division on Friday afternoon said that the government has decided to award a mid-year bonus in light of the strong economic performance in the first quarter of 2011. The move is also in line with a recent call by the National Wages Council to help low-wage workers by paying a dollar quantum. The statement added that the Government will decide on the year-end for civil servants bonus - after taking into account the economic performance of 2011.
