Woman in Malaysia going through menopause was wrongly diagnosed as being pregnant by doctor

A DOCTOR mistakenly diagnosed his patient as being two months pregnant when she was actually going through a menopausal stage, China Press reported. The 50-year-old woman, who has three children aged between 21 and 28, was initially shocked when the doctor told her that she was pregnant. 'My husband and I do not use contraceptives but I didn't think I would get pregnant,' said the woman who went for the check-up after her period was delayed by two months. The woman, from Bentong, Pahang, said her 58-year-old husband had then urged her to go to another clinic. The second doctor confirmed that she was going through a menopausal stage. The woman claimed that the first doctor admitted his mistake. -- THE STAR/ANN
