Singapore will be served by 15 town councils. (AFP Photo) Singapore has been officially divided into 15 "towns" each with its own town council, according to a list released by the Ministry of National Development on Friday. Sembawang-Nee Soon is the biggest town and its council will be looking after two five-member group representation constituencies (GRCs), while Potong Pasir town is the smallest. According to The Straits Times , eight of the 15 town councils have new chairman as their predecessors have either retired, taken on new responsibilities or lost in the recent polls. The changes include the replacement of Cynthia Phua of the ruling People's Action Party as chairman of the new Aljunied-Hougang council by Sylvia Lim of the Workers' Party after the latter's team won in the Aljunied GRC in the recent General Election.
