Kuala Lumpur (The Star/ANN) - When they talk of big changes in Singapore¿s politics, they are not kidding! With workers barely having finished pulling down election posters, a little campaigning for 2016 is already under way in a small heartland corner that has some youths laughing over their laptops. A People¿s Action Party (PAP) backbencher, Penang-born Irene Ng, is doing something few politicians here or anywhere else have done - putting up public banners to ask residents to ¿like¿ her Facebook. The banners are hung in her Tampines estate corridors and town centre, reported Temasek Review news site. In social media lingo ¿like¿ means to ¿connect¿ - an indication of support. And these days every Singaporean politician worth his salt has set up a Facebook page and is, of course, promoting it. None, however, can match Ng¿s determination.
