DTN Singapore: Duke-NUS awards Benjamin Sheares Professorship in Academic Medicine to Soo Khee Chee: SINGAPORE:

SINGAPORE: The Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School has awarded the Benjamin Sheares Professorship in Academic Medicine to Professor Soo Khee Chee. This took place at an event that marked the completion of four years of medical study by Duke-NUS' pioneering class of Doctor of Medicine students. A Duke-NUS statement says the professorship recognises Professor Soo's pioneering contributions to research, scholarship and clinical service that have significantly impacted the practice of medicine in Singapore. Professor Soo is the founding director of the National Cancer Centre Singapore and deputy chief executive officer of the Singapore Health Services. He is also the vice-dean for clinical and faculty affairs at Duke-NUS.
