SEOUL: A US delegation left North Korea Saturday after winning the release of an American citizen detained in the communist state for the past six months, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said. Pyongyang's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the group led by Robert King, US special envoy for Human Rights and Humanitarian Issues, left North Korea by air. But it did not say whether the delegation was taking with them Eddie Jun Yong-Su, a California-based businessman, who had been detained for apparent missionary activities in the hardline communist state. King's departure came a day after North Korea said it had decided to free and return Jun "on humanitarian grounds in consideration of repeated requests" by recent US visitors to Pyongyang, including King.
