It's raining - in Raffles City

OUTSIDE, the skies threatened a downpour yesterday afternoon, but inside Raffles City Shopping Centre there was actually one. Shoppers and store assistants were shocked when it started pouring indoors in the early afternoon. 'Water was mainly coming down in front of the Coach store and we thought it was pouring, but we realised that couldn't be the case,' said a store assistant at French label agnes b. A spokesman for the mall said a water sprinkler nozzle was activated on the fourth floor of the shopping centre in the afternoon. The affected area was immediately cordoned off, and the shopping centre's operations staff turned off the water supply while cleaners mopped up the water. 'Unfortunately, despite our cleaners' efforts, the water flowed down to the corridors of the second and third floors below and entered two retail units on the first floor,' the spokesman said. A...
