KUALA LUMPUR - A SUPERVISOR is in despair after a fire razed his house, wiping out all the cash he had kept for his wife's surgery. 'It's going to be tough. I had saved RM5,000 (S$2,040) for my wife's cancer surgery but now all that money is gone in the fire,' said C. Muniandy, 45. He said he had just withdrawn the money from a bank on Saturday to prepare for her surgery today. Mr Muniandy said P. Vijayakumari was scheduled to go for a breast cancer surgery at Pantai Hospital. 'I really don't know where I am going to get the money for her surgery now,' he said. He was among 15 people who lost their home and belongings in the fire, which destroyed three houses in Kampung Pandan Luar here at 11.25am on Sunday.
