Our reader says SBS Transit should ensure timely bus arrivals during peak hours. What's your suggestion to them?

LAST Friday's commentary ("Go beyond infrastructure in fixing transport woes") was spot-on in highlighting the need to invest more to improve the quality of our bus services. I suffer from the unpredictable bus arrival times of service 143 during the peak morning hour from 8am to 9am. I have sent feedback to SBS Transit on the problem of two buses arriving within a couple of minutes of each other followed by a lengthy 25-minute or longer interval before the arrival of the next bus. However, the problem remains unresolved and has worsened with bus arrival intervals hitting 40 minutes (from 8.25am to 9.05am last Friday). SBS Transit should focus on getting the basics right - ensuring timely bus arrivals especially during peak hours.
