Elderly-friendly Android apps - TODAYonline #android

SINGAPORE - Singapore's first Android game apps specially designed for the elderly were launched yesterday at the Adventist Home for the Elders' (AHE) 30th anniversary celebrations. The two apps - Can See, Can Hear and Snakes & Ladders Plus - were developed by the AHE and Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). Can See, Can Hear consists of four memory games where users have to match pictures and sounds of animals, fruits, mahjong tiles and even old-time movie and opera stars to score points. Snakes & Ladders Plus plays just like the classic board game, but users will have to answer multiple-choice questions on Singapore's history if they hit tiles with ladders or snakes on them to determine if they can progress.
