NEW YORK: Former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn pleaded not guilty to seven counts of sexual assault in a New York City courtroom on Monday. As media from all over the world gathered, a crowd of housekeeping staff from various hotels across the city were also in attendance yelling "shame on you" as the defendant walked in and out of the building. To show support for the woman at the centre of the scandal, a hotel chambermaid said: "I'm here to show support, to make sure that the hotel workers are safe." Another added: "We are here to support the lady that was assaulted because it could happen to any other housekeeper in New York." Some of the woman even recounted similar experiences.
