SINGAPORE - A former security guard was jailed for a month on Wednesday for defacing items such as glass panels at bus stops, bus seats and toilet doors with graffiti. 62-year-old Yeo Kie Yong pleaded guilty to three of 10 vandalism charges. In one of the cases, he had scribbled graffiti on some seats and side panels of a Trans-Island Bus on March 9 as it was travelling from New Bridge Road to Bukit Batok East Avenue 2. Yeo committed a similar offence two days later, defacing the interior of an SMRT bus with a black marker as it was travelling along the same route. A closed-circuit television footage from the bus showed him boarding it at around 7am. He was spotted moving from seat to seat while he was onboard and graffiti was found near the places he had occupied.
