If you own an Android smartphone, chances are it will come with Google Maps. In certain countries, this app gives you turn-by-turn driving instructions called Google Navigation. However, this doesn't work for most parts of Asia. Google has ignored my pleas to get Singapore on the official list , so we have to use alternative measures. A modded version of the app called Google Maps Brut ownhere changepn edition, which installs simply as a second map application on Android phones, used to enable this feature even for unsupported countries. However, it has stopped working properly since more than a month ago. My geek friend, Mr Tham, who loves his phone, was dismayed and he asked me how to solve the issue.
