Bell Helicopter breaks ground at Seletar Aerospace Park

SINGAPORE : Bell Helicopter is looking to tap the Asia Pacific chopper market through its new service facility in Singapore. The aviation company declined to disclose its investment into the facility, but said that it is in the high double-digit millions and below US$70 million. Bell Helicopter is a leading manufacturer of commercial and military aircraft, and is recognised in the industry as having the best customer support. The company broke ground on Thursday at the Seletar Aerospace Park for its 160,000 square feet facility, which will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) work as well as helicopter customisation. It chose the park for its new facility because of Singapore's market leadership and the support it gets from government agencies.
