IPv6 Global Test Run Smooth So Far The sea of web dependent devices is growing. A single person may have more than two or more of said devices that require a unique address. But the problem is we are fast running out of such addresses, hence the need to adopt IPv6 as soon as possible. IPv6 is an internet protocol upgrade that will add approximately four billion times more IP addresses than IPv4 (what we're using now) can support. Internet companies and industry analysts have anticipated this day for several months. Major companies, including Google , Yahoo , Microsoft , Verizon and Facebook , today are giving IPv6 a whirl to see how it works.
