Man caught for trying to steal lingerie at NUS

Within four hours of an appeal for information, a young man was caught for trying to steal women's undergarments from a hostel at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His capture came soon after the university's Office of Campus Security sent an e-mail to all students, asking for information on a "male stranger, age 20-25 of Asian descent". The suspect is now helping the university in its investigations. The e-mail was sent around noon on Tuesday, a student told The Straits Times. The man's picture, taken from the cameras at the women's wing of the hall of residence, accompanied the e-mail. It shows the bespectacled man wearing a blue polo T-shirt and white bermudas. He has been identified, the campus security office later told students in an e-mail.
