[TR] Two Filipinos on ‘S’ passes charged for robbing Burger King

Two Filipino foreign ‘talents’ on ‘S’ passes were charged in court today for attempted armed robbery at a Burger King outlet, according to a Straits Times report. Their jobs and employers were not revealed. They are Charlie Cabo Perez, 32, and Gerald Christian Magsalubong Porte, 29, who allegedly tried to rob $19,221 at the outlet in International Plaza, Anson Road, at knifepoint. The older man is also believed to have been involved in another attempt in April at new underground shopping mall Esplanade Xchange. In the incident in April, it was reported that he posed as a maintenance worker to gain access to the store after which he threatened a 35 year old assistant manager to empty the safe by holding a knife to her throat. He then gagged her and bound her wrists and ankles with duct tape. ‘S’ passes are issued to ’semi-skilled’ foreign workers who take up PMET positions ...

    Such a disgrace to the Filipino community here in Singapore and to the Philippines. In my opinion, they should be punished altogether those who are convicted of other crimes. As a Filipino, myself, i don't tolerate such mischievious act.
