How to turn off Facebook's facial recognition feature

Facebook has sparked renewed concerns over privacy practices as it quietly expanded the availability of technology to automatically identify people in photos. Facebook automatically enabled the feature for users. Its "Tag Suggestions" feature uses facial recognition technology to speed up the labelling of friends who appear in photos on Facebook. Internet security firm Sophos posted on its company blog on Tuesday saying Facebook users are reporting the site has enabled the facial recognition option in the last few days without notifying users. "Yet again, it feels like Facebook is eroding the online privacy of its users by stealth," wrote Mr Graham Cluley, a senior technology consultant at Sophos.
