Singaporeans are exercising more, eating better and undergoing regular health screening but more can still be done to promote a healthy lifestyle, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. "Singapore has been promoting healthy lifestyles for 20 years. We have made progress - more people are exercising, fewer are smoking and Singaporeans are generally more aware of the need to stay fit and healthy," said PM Lee at the launch of this year's National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign on Saturday. Obesity rates however, have been going up as well, he noted, especially with more fast foods restaurants here and sedentary occupations, which was why Singapore must never let its guard down against smoking, especially among our young.
