In politics, politicians chose their preferred domain of political action or even deliberate indifference of their incompetence. What can the electorate do? Nothing, it seems, in practical reality. In business, any CEO has very limited option and choice of his preferred domain of executive action. CEOs can hardly substantially change the nature of their established businesses – even if it is seen as clearly failing – no choice of who they want to compete with, and powerless but submissively adapting to the competitive pressures and disturbances flooding in from the outside of globalization turbulence.
