SINGAPORE - I was told that the new iPad mini would fit perfectly in the smaller version of the Chanel 2.55 - an iconic luxury handbag for women. It is pretty handy, indeed. Now you can now have a full-fledged tablet experience in a device small enough to fit in a clutch bag or the pocket of your blazer. At first glance, the mini looks like the result of what would happen if you pointed a shrink ray at a regular-sized iPad. It features the same metallic unibody design that makes it feel solid when you hold it in your hands. Along with an Apple Smart Cover, I chucked the iPad mini into my backpack and it has survived with nary a scratch. There are a few details that actually make the mini aesthetically more pleasing to the eye than its bigger brother: its chamfered edges (that the latest iPhone also sports) and the narrower bezels that frame its display.
