GE candidates file election expenses #Singapore

Some points which I thought are necessary to raise here in this forum, partly to spread awareness but also more importantly, for the MIWs to hopefully clarify for public knowledge. Firstly, there were rumours and heresays that during the election hustings, the PAP made use of contractors who are otherwise employed on the daily basis to carry out public service within town councils for example, to do electoral logistics work, such as putting up the billboards, posters, and the likes. May I ask whether all these are separately contracted for beyond their normal day-to-day public service work? Secondly, if those contractors are in fact contracted separately, then may I also ask whether on the whole, are PAP electoral expenses paid by PAP's own party coffers or by taxpayers' monies? This point is crucial. Every political party has to fork out its own monies - not taxpayers' - ...
