SINGAPORE: Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean says that the Singapore-China Business Association (SCBA) is well-positioned to help companies tap rapidly emerging business opportunities in both countries. He was speaking at the installation ceremony for the 26th SCBA Council, where Professor Phua Kok Khoo was re-elected as the president of the association. DPM Teo said that China looks set to maintain its strong growth in the coming years as it signals its commitment to move to the next phase of development with its Five-Year Plan. He added that at the same time, Singapore is strengthening its position as a global business hub where MNCs and mid-sized companies can coordinate their business activities across Asia and the world. As such, DPM Teo said the association's network and business knowledge of China would allow it to better help Singapore-based companies...
