Sports Marketing guru leads charge to popularise mind sports here

SINGAPORE - Touted as the founding father of sports marketing, Mr Patrick Nally has also fine-tuned the commercial workings of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) among other international sporting bodies. Now, the 64-year-old Briton has set his sights on mind sports, with Singapore as a key base. Speaking on the sidelines of the launch of Mind Sports Partners (MSP) and Dentsu Sports Asia, Mr Nally, who is the managing director of MSP, said: "We're in talks with the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) to set up national federations for mind sports that do not exist, then at hosting a continental federation here in Singapore ... with a view to host a regional tournament, then a major event here in the near future."
