As a fresh graduate in 2002 from a reputable australian university, I was really finding it hard to get a job in Singapore. At that time I was told that Aussie Universities were not recognised for their engineering competencies and hence I was rejected. Applying for jobs requiring for diploma qualifications, I was then told I was over qualified though I do have a dip. from Singapore Poly. I was forced to do relief teaching to sustain myself while another opportunity came along. In 2003, an opportunity for me to persue to a masters came along and I went to a local reputable university in Germany to persue my engineering Masters Degree. While I was there I was doing my internship with BMW Munich and European Aeronautics Defense Space (EADS) Germany. I returned to Singapore in 2006 and could not find a job for 6 months.
