I don't go to the cinema very often. I love movies and I love watching them in cinemas - I just don't go very often. It's not the overpriced popcorn that bothers me, and neither is it because my feeble arms are incapable of holding up the gargantuan cups of soda the concession stand now rolls out that could double as cheerful waterboarding kits. ("I'll tell you what you want to know! Just please, for the love of god, no more f****** Fanta!") It's not even the fact that I'm convinced sharing 3D glasses with strangers will give your eyebrows crabs. I don't go to the cinema very often because, like Haley Joel Osment, I see people. Except these are living, breathing, talking, plastic-bag-rummaging, arriving-late-then-stepping-on-your-feet-without-an-apology people. I'll take dead Bruce Willis any day.
