To reach out more to children and young people, its organiser - the Malay Language Council - has recorded 25 popular Malay folk songs and will upload them on a website, among an array of other activities. The campaign starts on Friday, and will end on July 30. At a press conference held on Monday morning at the National Library Board, Mr Hawazi Daipi, the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Manpower and Education, announced that the programme - which used to be held once every two years - will now take place annually.
